It is not a combination that is supposed to ever happen so it is not obvious. In any enent, it does not sound good for sure. As for the type of controller for it and all that stuff, unfortunately for me that's all still Chinese. I know how it all works inside and what normal commands are supposed to look like in the logs, but outside of that I know just enough to be dangerous.
I think I may have figured this one out. I'm not 100% sure on it yet but I have the tcm 2650 and t87 mounted in my glove box and never gave it a second thought.

I went to grab something and the t87 was burning hot and there is 0 airflow through there. All 3 instances were after the car had been driven 30 minutes or so.

Interesting find, I can't wait to see if overhearing of the computers was causing the problem.

It could be a short, voltage issue or the tcm2650 causing it as well. It was extremely hot to the touch so I'm sure the processor is baking.

I'm going to do maintenance on the 8l90 but I'll be pulling the tcm2650 out here soon and doing a full swap over. Not worth ruining anything that's good

Wanted to report back to end this thread. I changed my throttle position input to my tps sensor like it should've been, redid the torque table and kept the glove box open and I'm about 4 days trouble free.

Issues started about a month after moving tcm to glovebox with it getting hotter here where I am too.
I sure appreciate all the input!
