    Help.

Somebody please buy this, so I won't be able to.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/364827348370

I need that like I need a boat (an actual boat like goes in the water, often described as 'a hole in the water you throw money into'). Do I need a therapist?

Enough for the extremely ill-advised car purchase, or the therapist?

But, I mean... it even still has the original radio in it, the dash isn't all cut up! All the trim is there! It's less than 100 miles from here! Carpet is available for it, get the seats recovered, un-do whatever somebody did to the rear suspension... but then, almost none of the weatherstripping exists for a 4-door hardtop and it's almost surely all shot - plenty of weatherstrip pieces out there for coupes and convertibles, because rich people like those better...

How about this?! https://www.ebay.com/itm/235515444789 Off the road since '79 according to the tag, looks like it was just parked and forgotten. The whole underside is probably completely dissolved though from being sunk in the dirt like that for so long. And I can definitely smell the mouse pee all the way from here.

Or https://www.ebay.com/itm/116133371262, ready for new drivetrain!

Well the Pontiac is purely a nostalgia kink thing but at least I recognize it as such. My grandfather had one bought new and sold off way too early, same everything except white instead of red/maroon/whatever that one is, '64, 4-door hardtop, 389 4bbl, red interior.

    1963 Buick Special - https://www.ebay.com/itm/386950846379

$3500, running/driving condition and not something that's been marinating in mousepiss for the last 4 decades, all aluminum 215 V8? It's in freakin' Idaho though. And looks like it was painted with a roller. I really need a cheaper hobby.

Now reduced to $2000. Anybody have a car hauler for sale cheap?

Am I the only one attracted to old rusty junk? Apparently.

I'd buy a lot of stuff if I had a big enough yard to put it on.

Oh right Mister Practical, I guess next I'll have to hear about it's silly enough to have 3 cars/trucks already when the only time I drive anywhere is to the grocery store every 2 weeks...

'72 Uncle Jessie truck ended but relisted, $2k
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/256501825731

'63 Galaxie? Body looks solid enough. Scab some floor-like materials into it, two basic seats, drop in a real drivetrain...
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/296370655515

WAGON! But parts availability would be a major pain.
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/335371122305

'78 F100, 302/auto, long bed. Ended but didn't sell, might get relisted (they'd set up an automated offer thing, at $2800)

The Galaxie is less than 100 miles from here, too.

It reminds me of another one I had way back, a '66 Chevy II, which was nothing but a shell with a 6-point cage, leaf springs and slapper bars, 30x9 slicks, two cheap poly seats, and the minimum wiring required for headlights and brake lights. Painted with high temp flat black BBQ paint. It weighed 2400 lbs wet. Oh, and it also had the rear fenders cut out like the '55 in 2 Lane Blacktop, just by coincidence (was like that before I got it).

Local buddy had one very similar back in the early 80s. It was the most basic 11.90 street car you could imagine. A literal tin can on wheels. Solid cam 327, double hump heads, 4.56 or 4.88. Fast as hell for what it was. Would hook on a dirt road LOL Was flat black primer too LOL

    '54 Ford Customline - https://www.ebay.com/itm/266787507347

Kinda cool, would be a lot cooler if it was $3000 instead of $4500, it's someone's abandoned restoration project (bad, don't like those), and 2000 miles from here (also bad).

    '71 C-10, $3500 https://www.ebay.com/itm/386993158138

bonus points subtracted for the truly awful eBay-AI-assisted description:
This 1971 Chevrolet C-10 is a wonderful project vehicle with some sweet updates to its drivetrain. With an ownership of 5+ years, the previous owner must have had a lot of fun driving around this classic truck for weekend drives. You can now own this grey vehicle with a clean title and enjoy the feeling of being behind the wheel of a classic.
Just reading that I feel like I need a shower, I feel all greasy and ick. (I have collected more eBay-AI examples, in case anybody likes feeling greasy and ick)
