I have a 2012 2500 LML that has been tuned with EFI Live. I'm trying to read the current tune with HPT but only get the option to download a stock tune from the internet. Am I missing something or would the previous tuner have the ECM locked?

This is what sucks about Duramax tuning with HPTuners as opposed to EFI Live. If you have a tuned EFI Live tune and then attempt a mod with HPTuners you may end up deleting your "special modifications" that EFI Live will let you do if you have an early version.
My opinion only is if you want to tune a Duramax pick EFI Live and only EFI Live. If you want to tune for gas pick HPTuners.
LML's are write only ECU's. you can't pull what is there.

Efilive or HPtuners it doesn?t matter it?s a write only like stroked said.
If you want to pull a tune out you have to use Ktag and open the ecm up to solder on the board.
