There's also something funky in (some of?) the GMPP fan controls, they will run relay fans but not anything variable speed.

I'm not talking about setting the idle HIGHER than 950. I'm saying you can't LOWER it.

Same with running different injectors. Not talking about using the controller to run different size injectors I'm talking about issues they have with the hardware and software they have.

I just got to the point of not even screwing with them anymore. Too many problems. The last one where I couldn't change the speedo did it for me.

I lower all the LS3 GMPP 525. I think they are on REV 8 now. This might all be old issues. Who knows.

If you don't have the capability, if you buy one off Ebay PM me I'll flash it for ya on the cheap. Just pay shipping both ways and buy me a beer.

Just an FYI, we got the ECM and stabbed it in and the car fired up right away! Thank you edcmat-l1!!!

Now this has created a new issue in that the ECM is reading a constant 158 mph which is
-preventing the fans from turning on and temps are excessive
-preventing the adaptive idle from turning on

For the GMPP OS, HPT did map the fan vs mph settings, including a max temp override (screenshot below), but they did NOT do this for the CTSV OS. If we log a request to map these...what are the chances they would do it?

EDIT: perhaps the 158 mph issue is that [ECM] 822 - Speed Output Type is not mapped either so the trans isn't sending the speed correctly over the CANbus. The GMPP OS has this set to VehSerial, no idea what the CTSV is using. The car is a manual, but the CTSV OS from from an auto (at least as far as I can tell from the VIN number 1G6DV5EPXB0149222).

Auto trans ECM OS can only read a VSS if it comes in over CAN, from an auto trans TCM. Only a true manual trans ECM OS can read a hardwired VSS going to the pins used in the OE manual trans car.

Yes that seems to be the issue alright.

I am curious though if ECM 822 is (usually) mapped on an M6 OS by HPT or if that is only a GMPP OS thing.

2011 Camaro & Corvette but not CTS-V, either auto or manual. Unless the description is badly worded or I'm reading it wrong, that is for the output from the ECM to other modules, not the input from a sensor.

I'm not aware of anyone who has managed yet to get an auto OS to read a direct-wired VSS in a Gen 4. There's supposedly a trick with Gen Vs with the VSS DTCs but doesn't work with these.

Ok thanks. That was a shot in the dark as the cause. We're trying to source an M6 E67 now.

EDIT: or whatever service number is needed for the VIN you want to use, that one may be 09-10, you need to check it yourself

They are all in my special Erod/GMPP folder so I will never get them mixed with normal tunes.

Correct! A write entire using HPT from a compatible M6 CTSV file did the trick!
