How many credits do I need?

I'm currently shopping around for tuning options, and HPTuners seems to be pretty popular, but I am having a difficult time understanding how credits work.

I saw a guy tuning on youtube and he mentioned something about the transmission and other modules also requiring credits.

I have a 2001 Silverado 2500HD. (LQ4/4l80e) I was able to locate it under the vehicles section on the website.

On the HPTuners website it says 2 credits, but then I hover over the little "i" icon and it says 6 credits.

I didn't really understand the phone minutes analogy on the credit explanation page.

I just want to be able pay my money so I can tune my truck indefinitely and be on my way.

How many credits do I need?

The 6 credits will be for if you want to tune an unlimited number of 2001 Silverado's, not just your single vehicle. Just the one vehicle is 2 credits.

Hi, I'm also a bit confused. So if I have 2 credits, is that for one car, but without any other limitations on the number of times? I now have the opportunity to buy more credits. Bonuses from paydirekt online casino helped me with this and now I have free money. But I wouldn't want to overpay just like that. I'm only going to use this for my car, it's not a business.

Depends on the car whether 2 credits will be enough, but in general, once credits are tied to a VIN, it will be unlimited number of "tunes" to that vehicle.

single vcm licenses is for 1 vcm(vehicle control module) and will allow you to flash that vcm an unlimited amount of times. You can find the credits required for every application we support here https://www.hptuners.com/vehicles/
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
