    MPVI3 scanning is likely going to be better for EECV, MPVI3 editing/flashing are going to work similar to MPVI2. If you have one of each device we would recommend combining them unless you need them separately for some reason.

    Interesting thread I'm glad I stumbled upon it. I have both an mpvi2 and a mpvi3. I keep the mpvi2 around for legacy reasons. If I add the beta firmware to the 3 does this prevent me from still using it as normal for Mopar applications? I will create a support ticket today.

    it will NOT prevent you from using it as normal for Mopar applications.

    I have a customer with a 96 mustang v8 with an sct tune in it.

    Can I use my mpvi3 to read/write his ecu ? I understand I need to send my mpvi3 SN to Eric for betta firmware ?

    Yes, pm Eric with your sn, and make sure you have the latest beta of vcm suite, then it'll work

    If you already own an MPVI3 I would suggest emailing support for the special EECV beta that you'll need in order to read your vehicles ecm so that we can map the definition.
