After years of successfully using RaceRender, looks like its time to move on

RaceRender hasn't had an update in ages. I was willing to put up with that, as it was working. But the recent Windows 11/HEVC issue is going to drive me away.
Yes, I did manage to use Handbrake to change about 30 vides back to H.264. And yes, I lost the meta data, which is kind of the point of using RaceRender.

But the work that it now takes is excessive. I need to find another package that is:
    1) currently maintained by the vendor
    2) works with recent patches and "fixes" by Microsoft, GoPro, etc.

Has anyone done a recent survey?

Telemetry Overlay looks like a possibility, but its $150 and I'd rather not just jump into a new package.
Especially without taking the time to see how the community works (the community here is great and one of
    the best parts of RaceRender).

I switched a few days ago.
T.O. worked fine right out of the box.

If you look at the FB page, Juan regularly answers questions.

150 is relatively expensive, but it used to be higher if I'm not mistaken.
It's very easy to use and very flexible.

Thanks again to everyone at this forum for your help, you extended my time with RR more than once!

Sadly I`m also looking for alternatives.

The new owners haven`t updated the program since Weston left and there are things it keeps falling over on. Others needed improving when Weton still worked there and are still bugs years later.

The fact it's woefully slow on 4k60 videos has meant I now combine videos in other software and just use RR for the overlay. Adding way more steps than necessary.

If you do find something that still offers the sort of customization that's available in RaceRender, please post back here since everything else I've found thus far is mostly just drag-and-drop cookie-cutter type widgets...but they often look nicer than the defaults here, but not as nice as something you can code up yourself within the enhanced display objects.

I only purchased RaceRender 1 year ago and was generally happy with it. I'm running a GoPro 10 and use Win11, so it's now completely useless to me. How are they still selling this to folks on Windows (which I imagine is still a high-proportion of users) if one of the most popular video formats no longer functions at all?
Is there really 0 chance of it being resolved?
Would love for this to be solved as I really don't want to have to go find something else that works and then re-learn it all to get what I want (I had some nice templates setup to suit the car/s and dufferent tracks)

For macOS, it still works fine on my M1 Mac with Sonoma. But it is incredibly frustrating that there's been no new development done to utilize the M1 chip or make any improvements to the application in the last few years.
