2010-2012 Cummins Do Not Use HP Tuners to Read ECM
I know that no one will find this and read before they purchase HP Tuners and attempt to read the ECM on their truck until after the fact because that?s just what people do. But do NOT use HP Tuners to read your 2010-2012 Ram Cummins. There are far too many issues causing people?s trucks to get stuck in a no start state. Even the 2013+ carries a lot of high risk of the same thing occurring. I see it happening at an increasing rate and have been starting to get a lot of emails of people getting stuck in the position of a no start state on their truck and seeking help.
Good chance that HP Tuners will either delete this post and/or ban me over this post. But wake up and fix your shit!

Advanced Tuner
I can/do provide stock tune files for the 2010+ Cummins for $50, all I need is the VIN and a picture of the Cummins sticker on the ECM. For anyone that find themselves in the no start situation after attempting a read of the ECM with HP Tuners without doing your research beyond what is just the “cheapest”, providing a stock tune file for you won’t help you unless HP Tuners can still communicate with the truck, which it most likely will not and you will need to have a bench flash recovery of the ECM and a bench flash recovery is something I cannot provide at this time for anyone needing it.
Just because the initial upfront cost, the cost price of the device itself is cheap and possibly others telling you the HP Tuners is the best, that is NOT the case for the 2010+ Cummins. It has failures on reads and writes all the time on many many trucks. Buy cheap, you get cheap.

Tuner in Training
I have first hand experience with this issue on my truck. Luckily I have the tools fix it.
Maybe I should build a bench flash rig and try to help other people too.
