I've seen so many new guys come up, some of them I know for a fact have built entire businesses on ripping off other tuner's work from years ago. I know it doesn't look good as a professional to keep saying a lot of these guys don't know what they're doing or talking about but, a lot of these guys don't know what they're doing or talking about.

Bet that one had a nice chop, but not from the cam.

Half the shit brought to me has one issue or another. I'm completely out of capacity to work on more stuff simply cause so many bring us cars that need a set of wires or last week.. dropped off with zero fuel pressure for a tune. I'm just finishing a truck brought to us a few months back for a tune that in fact had 2 completely dead cylinders cause the lifters were stuck sideways in the bore.

I'm the last in line for a car to be built so I guess it would be me to find issues.. It is discouraging though.

I recently paid for a full tune with him and my stock 2013 Silverado with a AFM/DOD/VVT Delete w/BTR Truck Norris cam and still having issues after 3 weeks of back and forth. He says it's mechanical like the cam is defective or something. BTR said that's highly unlikely. I did find out I had a misfire from another member which I believe I fixed, couple coil wires were not clicked in all of the way (must've happened inadvertently when I unplugged at the spark plugs to check torque on the header bolts). Unsure why my tuner wouldn't have noticed any misfires though yet the individual I sent a datalog to did. Do I take the cam out and replace it with something different? I really hate to swap out the cam and throw parts at it when it probably isn't the issue. Do I try a different tuner? I'd really prefer to take it to a shop and skip the remote thing. I offered to drive it to him (5.5 hrs) to tune it but he said that's not necessary because the outcome would be the same. Not sure what to do, but I'll have to make a decision sooner or later. I need my daily driver back!
Make a new post and throw up the tune and log. I'm sure the knowledgeable guys here would be able to see if your issue is in the tune or mechanical. I dont think ive ever seen a new defective cam.

I have a mustang sitting in the shop with a dead fuel pump waiting on a tune. Sometimes you get lucky on a burnt plug wire or stuck injector.
