Upgrade from much older HP tuners cable/software?

I believe I have one of the first versions of the cable/dongle that used a serial port back from 2002ish. I know way back in ancient times HP tuners offered a trade in for credit when upgrading to newer models. I know this is probably a pipe dream, but it would be nice if I didn't have to buy credits for a PCM that was already using HP tuners on.

Might make a nice museum piece.

    Submit a ticket and ask…

Then drive to the nearest store and buy a large tub of vasiline

The time to upgrade from the serial cable came and went 15 years ago when the MPVI1 came out. You have to start all over if you want the new stuff.

V1.7 is the last software revision the serial cable worked with. There were no credits with the serial cable You bought model year licenses and it was stored in the software so everyone that had a serial cable had their own version of the software that only worked with their cable.

As stated these had an end of life date about 15 years ago.
