I have a new to me 2004 6.oh, I am able to read the ECM.
The FICM was replaced with a rebuilt module and I cannot read it. How do I go about obtaining a stock or equivalent FICM file?
OS that is currently on the FICM is PRZ2AL10.

Anyone?
I tried emailing Powerstroke Customs and the email came back as undeliverable.
Can I flash a file from another FICM with a different OS on to this FICM? I have a FICM file from an 05 and 06 that is stock.
VCM editor should ask you if you want it to generate a 'stock file' since the FICM can't be read. This is the case with any of these FICMs as their software/hardware is not capable of reading the FICM so they generate a stock one based off of the OS and tie your VIN to it for licensing purposes.
If you were to flash a file from another FICM, you'd be licensing the VIN from the other file and it would not match your truck's VIN.
Thank you for the reply! I tried reading the file like you suggested and a stock file was generated. However, when I open the file, I receive an error
"Validate Checksum Failed. You will be unable to save or flash this file"
Make sure you are using VCM suite beta and it is updated. Are you reading all or only the ficm when you get the checksum error?
You can try submitting a support ticket, they may be able to fix the file.
