Can i look whitout connecting a interface?
Can i somehow look at a " stocktune " without connecting a interface in vcm suite?
I kind of want to see what i can edit at my Golf Gti-18 before buying a device.

Short answer: no. If you try to open a tune file that isn't an unlocked example file from HP Tuners it will require you to plug in an interface.

It's a fair question.... how good the definitions are will determine if he feels the license fees are reasonable or not.
I would say broadly that the defs/logging capability is sufficient for a stock turbo, bolt on type car. Beyond that, there's some limitations.

Ok, lets put is this way then.
What do i need and what will it cost me to : Make changes to my already tuned Golf Gti Dsg -2018.
I`m not happy whit the ( not shore of the name ) pedalmap. This drives me crazy
Later i want to : Get it to run flexfuel ( is this possible?)

For my MK6 it cost me $400 for the interface and it was $200 for the credits to flash the car ($600 total) if my memory serves me correctly. I'm in a similar situation with a recent K04 install and a remote tuner that I'm not super stoked with. I haven't actually flashed the car yet because I can't get a read on the ECU with the HP Tuners interface until I flash the car back to stock and remove/unmarry the access port and I don't have the time to mess with the tune right now.
If you reach out to their sales support they can verify for sure what the cost would be and direct you towards what type and the number of credits to buy. The software goes deep though so it's not something that most people will be able to just pick up and quickly make effective changes to a tune with. Also no live tuning, so be ready to tune, log, review, tune, log, review, repeat a good number of times to really get it dialed. It can be a tedious process.
Hope my replies have been at least somewhat helpful.

also FYI, you won't be able to make changes to your already tuned GTI, as in you'll have to start over from scratch. You can't "read" these ECUs, so you'd be given a stock tune file to start fresh with and modify.

When modifying the ECU on a tuned GTI, be aware that you will have to start over from scratch. Unfortunately, these ECUs cannot be "read," meaning you won't be able to retrieve or modify the existing tune.
