    2021 Ram 1500 Diesel ecu bosch EDC17C69

    Hello Guys,
I have a previous emissions deleted Ram 1500 Diesel bosch EDC17C69 using ktag v3
It's safe to read & tune this ecu with Hptuners or not⁉️
I read posts here about Cummins ecu that could be bricked if you just try to read with Hptuners after emissions delete with EFILive

    Please need your advice
    Best Regards

Wouldn't expect them to unlock it, especially if its got emissions delete changes in it, and well since its on the forum for them see... there is a highly important reason they removed emissions delete parameters that they did have and block emissions related DTC's in calibrations, etc. etc. Tampering with emissions control functionality is a federal crime in the USA, the country they are based out of.

Clearly don’t understand the implications under federal law for providing emissions tampering means and what it would do to the business to be federally charged. Just so you know, it’s factually illegal to perform such actions in Canada as well, federally, just in case you didn’t know. Canada just doesn’t enforce it like they do in the USA unless you are in some pretty specific jurisdictions. Canada has adopted all EPA vehicle emissions standards and has done so for very long time now. Should brush up on knowledge of the legal aspect of emissions laws.

There is a lot of other countries i tune for that dont have this issue, and i can tune government vehicles that are exempt from federal laws. What im saying is, with sct i can import, export binary files and modify everything in 1 program. hp tuners you cant. hp tuners wants you to send your file in for conversion, they dont give you egr maps to mod or anything.

You still don’t understand the implications involved for a business to straight up hand up over emissions defeat, what that would do to HP Tuners. They are in a country where certain laws need to be followed and if they aren’t and the EPA catches wind of it they come smashing and press criminal charges and are ruthless about. Think HP Tuners should care about you being in Canada and tuning for other countries that don’t have the same emissions regulations? Hell no. It isn’t about you or other businesses like SCT.
