Does this mean you are not holding much faith for them as well. Or does it just apply to end users ??

edcmat, I have the same issue with MPVI1 and Windows 11, would you mind sharing steps I need to take to resolve this issue?

Finally got Windows 11 HP Tuners program to load and the MPVI interface to connect.

UPDATE 8/2/24 Yes got the MVPI 1 to load and the tuning suite to work but in doing so had to force the laptop to digest the HP drivers. The next boot up was problematic and I had to reset everything back to the original settings. The ftbibus.sys driver just does not work in the core memory on the new versions of Windows 11.
Update: I just contacted FTDI to ask if there is an updated driver for ftdibus.sys for the MVPI 1 interface. I received an update link from a friend but still checking it out.

And if you had paid attention to my reply on the previous page and installed IO Bit Driver Booster all these issues would have been avoided and you would already have the updated drivers and not have to turn on allowing unsigned drivers in windows 11.
But you are just another one in a long line of fools that either do not read all replies or just like doing things the hard way.

I read all the replies, have successfully tuned many cars and we have completed over a dozen engine swaps. I may try your suggestion but first tell us how many times you have successfully fixed the ftbibus.sys driver issue using the OIbitdriverbooster program (that resulted in success in finding the right driver for the MPVI 1interface)?
UPDATE: Tried it. The IObit booster shows the HP Tuners interface driver being current and no update is available. Does that satisfy you?

Wow let's all have a marvel at his bragging skills - nobody asked you how many cars you have tuned or how about your mechanical ability so not really what we are discussing.,
If you had followed my post weeks ago you would have avoided doing all the crap you did to get it to work but as I said another in a long list of fools that don't know when they are getting good advice and do things the hard way.
Now at the end you do what I said and found out I was correct and now maybe instead of bragging about yourself you can help the next fool that comes along!

Lets try to get this thread about windows 11 back on track. Play nice boys.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

In sharing my experience here I never try to belittle any members effort or make nasty comments.. All I do is post results to try and help others.
The IObit booster does not work, It shows the ftdibus, sys driver as current and offers no solution to update. I contacted FTDI and they told me to use the follow link:
    https://ftdichip.com/wp-content/uplo...dows-10_11.pdf
So far the ftbibus drivers all loaded and it did not interfere with the ON core memory setting. HP Tuning suite is now loaded and when I get home the MVPI 1 interface will be connected and we will see. If it works I will gladly share the process.

UPDATE: The new current updated drivers provided by FTBI loaded and show up on the device manager under USB but still no connection to the HP Tuning Suite.

OK folks, thanks for the many suggestions. I was finally able to load the HP Tuners suite and the updated FTBIbus.sys drivers that FTBIchip sent me. While all show as downloaded including the USB drivers on the device manager, the MPVI 1 interface still does not connect to the scanner or editor. Almost out of ideas

As of today the MPVI 1 interface still does not connect to the Tuning suite. The options are 1. purchase the MPVI 3 interface $399, 2. try a way to find a way to install "unsigned drivers" on Windows 11 3. buy an inexpensive used laptop off eBay with Windows 8, and 10.

Old IT guy here who always goes the least hassle way whenever possible because I've seen too many get something working and as soon as something updates, they have to start over and fix it again. If it was me (which this isn't so do what you wish) I'd go with a cheap laptop and not worry about it... the easy way to solve the problem.

LOL you have no idea! End of story as all I used was IOBit Driver Booster on a new Windows 11 Enterprise install today and here is the result.
Install HPTuners v5.04 and works perfectly so either your unit is defective or you have no technical expertise whatsoever and I am going for the latter.

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. Code 39. This is not either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error.
This is what the device manage comes back with. The IObooster just shows no available drivers.
