2010 Camaro LT/RS fancky lights and won't start and run

So, here is my situation: I had the HP Tuner with MPVI3 connected to a 2010 Camaro LT/RS. I run the VCM Scanner and record and then run VCM Suite. I have done the scanner and viewed the suite 6 times. way so many times is because I am learning how to do it. How to learn the HP Tuner but on the 6 times of running the scanner, it went just fine. But on the 7 time when I opened the VCM Suite and had the MPVI3 still plugged in the car as it was still running. I quickly turn off the car and close out the VCM Suite. From there I re-opened the VCM Suite and read the ECM.

When it was all done and saved. I closed out the software and got ready to finish up. I decided to move my car back to the over-covered parking area. When I turned the ignition key, the dash lights and headlights were flickering and the car wouldn't start. Within so many minutes the battery became super low and things really started to not work.

Before this happened the car ran and drove just fine. The timing chain was just done about 3 months ago. The next day I had a friend hook up their jumping cables to be able to power up the low battery. When putting in the ignition key and turning it to on position, the radio turned on but the screen did not display. The engine started but then turned off after starting.

After some many tries, I went ahead and plugged in my car scanner. To see if there were any codes. I got the codes P0016, P0017, P0008, P2189 and P2187. I did some search and changed out all four of the Camshaft Position Sensors and I had the alternator tested. The alternator tested good and from yesterday after installing the sensors. The car still won't start and run and the lights. I re-scanned the car and was given three codes, those codes P0000, P0017 and P0008.

I am totally lost for words, one engine and everything was working fine. Even before turning off the car, the car was running well. But now it won't run and the lights and gadget act all funky and won't start and run.

sounds like a battery problem sir, check the battery again

Take it to a competent mechanic, that knows how to diagnose electrical issues.

I have hooked up a different battery to the car and it didn't change anything. Less there is something that connects to the battery that other batterys don't have.

Bad connection somewhere if it isn’t the battery. But if you used jumper cables to hook up another battery, it could still be a bad battery. But diagnosing an electric problem remotely is basically throwing out guesses.

Old post but P0008 is bad timing chain. As for hard starts, wire wheel the battery terminals, the metal ground wire that attaches to the body in the trunk and take apart and wire wheel the positive terminal in the engine compartment next to the oil filter on the driver side. If you still have issues do the ground wire mod from the frame/body to the engine (near the starter).

I've had two LLTs that are hard to start P0008 and its a stretched timing chain.
