    2014 Dodge Ram 1500, 5,7 GPEC2 ECM, cannot write

    Hi,
I have a MPVI3 and downloaded two credits to delete the MDS and change the fan temp settings on my 2014 Dodge RAM 1500, GPEC2 ECM. I have done this before on other models so I knew what to expect for dialogue boxes coming up. When I read the vehicle two controllers come up, ECM and ZF8HP TCM. When I edited the file for the changes and uploaded, the normal box came up asking which controller to edit. I selected the ECM and not the TCM as it takes 4 credits. I then selected yes "the last chance" tab. The screen did not show the download box. I waited for about one minute and then backed out, went back in to see what changes if any were made and nothing changed. I opened the file to download again and now the ECM does not show up for controllers to write to, just the TCM. no message came up stating THIS ECM IS LOCKED or any thing like that. The MPVI3 does show the credits applied to the GPEC2. Any thoughts on this one??

    Thanks, Steve

I would recommend opening a support ticket. Unfortunately a single screenshot of your licensing window is not enough to diagnose this issue.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Either Delete the tcm from the file or do a new read of PCM only and try again.

Thanks N2 Speed. I did a new read and was able to upload the file. Vehicle needed a software update so the process took about 15 minutes with three ignition starts. what are your thoughts on fan temps with a 180 stat?
