Mpvi 3 sync

Is it normal to have to resync the mpvi3 continuously when switching from scanner to editor. I have no issues syncing but let?s say I do a log and the. Go make changes to the file, I have to sync to the editor to download the file to the car and then I have to sync back to the scanner again. I can see me wearing out the usb cable very fast. Hopefully someone will tell me I?m doing it wrong.

Only the editor OR the scanner can be connected to your car at any one time. In the VCM Scanner, hit the "Disconnect from Vehicle" button then switch over to your editor. Do you your editing/flashing, then come back to the scanner and hit the "Connect to Vehicle"


Also, I have to use the Beta versions of the software with my mpvi 3 interface
