Potential Tuner
2022 Can Am Outlander 570 XMR tuning
Hi. This is my first time looking at a tune for any of the BRP models. Curious if anyone has experience with these models. At this point, mostly interested in adjusting the fuel for an aftermarket exhaust.
I'll be running a standalone AFR meter through the Prolink+ interface to record data. This is a single sensor downstream in the exhaust, so no individual cylinder data.. just average.
What fuel or airflow tables should I be focusing on to make adjustments? Also, is there any particular data channels to record to help monitor and make adjustments?
I saw a statement when reading through some other posts that these models possibly use the Variant 1 settings, but maybe best to just make all variants the same when making any changes to those types of tables.
Is there a threshold on the AFR table that will disable the closed loop feedback for tuning? On some other platforms, if you set the AFR table to a nominal value.. say .887 lambda (roughly 13:1) across the board, the closed loop feedback will be disabled and you can tune the injector or VE table to adjust your fueling to that value. I would assume these are the same, with some small window of Lambda values around stoich that the system will accept for closed loop operation. Obviously, the factory narrow band can only work or be accurate in its intended lambda range, just curious what that range may be and how anyone else has gone about recording data and adjusting fuel values.
I'll be reading through the help files and forums, but thought I would put this out there as well to see if anyone has dealt with these in this manner.
