    2015 gmc sierra engine stall while coming to a stop

    Hello all,
    Attached is a log of my drive home of a customer vehicle with an engine stall at 2:04in the log. Am I logging the correct channels to identify the cause? Can you point me in the direction of where I need to edit my calibration? I'm a stand alone ecu tuner, this oem stuff is over my head. I'm assuming i'll be messing with idle airflow tables or can you tell me what tables will open the throttle body more when it starts to stall.

    Log all the torque PIDS. Torque models are probably way off.

    Can anyone confirm these channels are what I should be logging? What tables in the calibration control thottle body open % during decel to a stop?

    You can add a lot of channels with Gen V. Add the airflow and fuel trim channels and then log it.

    attached is a log with the channels requested of very close to a full engine stall @1:09 in the log. I'm noticing channels that are cascading down and potentially causing the stall:

    Commanded throttle
    Throttle desired airmass
    Throttle desired airflow

    Where in the calibration do I adjust for these values up or down to see if the result is a positive affect. I've heard mention of lowering virtual torque, but see no tables indicating anything remotely close to that nomenclature.

    Your VE and MAF are way off from one another. Might be good to start there... That torque model looks identical to one I posted up a while back for a vette running a 220 or 225 cam, so it won't be right for the truck... I also just verified that I haven't worked on that truck before, so most likely someone grabbed a torque model from here, made a couple of quick changes and sent the guy down the road.

    These are all torque based.. not a direct way to control the throttle body. Getting the VVE table which is a multivariable VE table correct is step one and usually torque stuff will fall inline without a lot of extra effort.

    A lot of people make changes to the virtual torque stuff first.. and that paints them into a corner later.. VVE, the airflow model.. should be worked out first.

    I had to change many things with the stage 2 TSP cam dod delete and vvt lockout. but last was the ve table and honestly i didn't. But torque at zero pedal was 0 and it was modified before for the turbo tune.
    I have much more tuning to do as i get into higher rpm and boost but still breaking in the new parts.
