make sure you copy & paste it directly from the email...don't try to type it in as it leaves too much room for error. Also when your copying don't accidentaly grab any excess blank frames otherwise it will reject it.

    Check your e-mail.

I e-mailed everyone who would be affected with brand new MPVI units the solution. You need to download the latest 2.1.17, the link is in the e-mail I sent.

In some cases I sent two to make sure you guys got it.

.17 is a beta version and is not a general public release. Read this thread for more info on Beta & who should & shouldnt have a beta version http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5707

the things is that I bought the suite and came with the 12th version and it did NOT work and keith sent me the 13th beta, it worked as expected, now that I have a new computer I intalled the 16Th, and now the problem is that somehow the new editor does NOT recognize some strings of date-time, of my last tunes... Im still stuck editing w/old comp, scaning w/new comp...

yesterday Keith writed about the 18TH to be released any day.

sounds like its an issue with how your computer was setup...I've read about this before I see if I can't weed through some posts to get you the answer.

thanks foff, I enclose the ORIGINAL scan of my oem tune, that has an very earlier date and it can be read on both comps, and my last tune that can only be read on the old comp, maybe you can check in the date-time area of the suite and why is rejecting the "newer" tunes.

see thats weird...I can open & edit both of those files without issue...would you mind providing the error you are receiving so I can do a search for you? Or a screenshot of the error...I know I've heard of this happening before but I can't remember where to go to correct it, but im sure it was posted.

as I open the file with the tune I want (recent) a warning apear stating ***UNABLE TO OPEN FILE
STRING WAS NOT RECOGNIZED AS VALID DATE TIME.
    ***
after pressing OK, If is a "primary" file, the whole editor jus quits (like I've pressed the X in closing program) if is a "compare" file it just not open.

first: thanks EC TUNE for the tip, I felt bad for stealing credit....

I will dig a little more tonight with the regedit, is that this "new" computer was a display.... and I have to go thru all, maybe formating the whole thing because I found a lot of garbage, some virus (eventhou norton was running) norton is a PIA, installed AVG and catched a lot, even thou norton was "on watch".... I did changed the "as came" AM_PM to 24....

tried reverse fixing with old computer (XP) changing AM_PM to 24 and vice versa, and either way had NO TRUBLE (!!!!!!!????????) reading all files!!!!
my other solution will be to upload maybe 4 known good tunes to the vcm, then read entire vcm...
