    Unable to Read VCM

Before you read and flame, I've already searched on this topic and looked into the help section. It offers no more insight then what I have already tried...I keep getting an unable to read VCM check to make sure it's in the run position everytime I try to connect.

    Things I've tried.

    1. Different USB cable
    2. Different Car
    3. Checked all fuses
    4. Reset PCM
    5. Checked ODB-II port to verify it has power (checked pin outs)
    6. Tried three different version of HP Tuners Software (ie. .14 , .16 etc)
    7. Used the Clear last vehicle option button under options.
    8. Different Laptops and different operating systems

It works in my 05 Cobalt Sedan (Scanning Version), Box works and connects to other cars. I am licensed on my car to work. Other peoples HPT box connect to my car perfectly fine...

Verified re-installation of HPT Drivers as well. The box flashes activity and tried to connect and fails at gathering vehicle information. Highly annoying and I've never really been able to enjoy using this product because of all the problems it has connecting to my 05 Cobalt SS/SC.. I've already been given a different box for the same reason before and new cables..

    Please advise.

    -Mike

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Keith suggested to delete the CFG file from the HPT Directory and re apply app key. That worked like a charm.

Sorry for the late follow up.

Delete the C:\Program Files\HP Tuners\VCM Suite 2\VCM Suite.CFG file and go into HPT it will ask for your application key. Re-Enter and connect. It might not work the first time but it will the second time.

You need to make a custom cfg for your cobalt. or try this one (set up for an 06 SS.)
You have a few "unsupported parameters" showing up: wondering if they are custom PIDs?

Well I am trying to get a cfg file for AFR (Close to what the reading "should" be since I don't have a wideband yet) and something to measure knock. I'm still learning with the Configurations of PID's/Sensors.
