Any one play with an aftermarket vgt tune on the 20 plus trucks? Having trouble getting it to spool with anything under 1700 rpm. Then it comes on like a light switch.

I had this years ago on my 2012, sounds like you need what use to be called "low boost fueling"
it was a dog off the light but just before 2k rpm it would fry the tires off
To fix this, you can try adjusting the tuning to optimize the turbine blade position at lower rpm for smoother turbine running. Geometry Dash Scratch

When the speed is below 1700 RPM, VGT may not be able to effectively adjust the geometry of the turbocharger, resulting in insufficient power output. You can try checking if the regulatory mechanism of VGT is working properly to ensure there are no blockages or malfunctions.
You can consider adjusting the tune or checking the wastegate settings to improve spool time under 1700 RPM.
