Normal, Pattern A, Pattern B question

so under shift general it shows pattern A in the drop down as "normal" and in pattern B as "Trailer", but looking at shift scheduling tab pattern B matches the normal parameter's and pattern A shows a higher shift MPH like they are reversed. when actually driving in tow mode it shifts at the higher MPH in the pattern A parameter's (which is set as "normal" in shift general tab). my question is when in tow mode how is it shifting at the pattern A shift points when it should be pattern B(which is set to "Trailer" in the shift general tab), am i confused as to what the drop down boxes in the shift general tab actually do or is it flipped and i need to go throu all of them and swap all the Pattern A and Pattern B parameter's under all the tabs? Hopefully i explained this well enough and not too confusing. i just dont want to go swapping stuff and blow up a trans.

I just went through this with my remote tuner. He saw tow/haul as pattern B in the factory tune file but we figured out that tow/haul is Pattern A as shown by my adding Shift pattern PID in the subsequent logs. This is a 2013 Sierra 1500. So this truck have Normal, pattern A (tow haul) and TUTD (manual shifting)

It seems the shift patterns (A/B) are mislabeled or swapped in the settings. Verify by observing shift points in normal and tow modes, then compare them to the configured parameters. If mismatched, either swap the drop-down settings in the "Shift General" tab or adjust the parameter values for Pattern A and B. Test carefully to avoid damaging the transmission.

You can log this and verify for sure.

The LSA CTSV's/ZL1 are one whose normal drive is actually pattern B. Most everything else I'm aware of uses normal in D.

But log it in the scanner and know for sure what is being asked in different shifter positions.

I have never changed the 'shift pattern type' settings.
but for my my 2012 Tahoe:

Pattern A TYPE is 'normal', NORMAL shift pattern is normal drive.
Pattern B TYPE is 'trailer' , PATTERN A shift pattern is tow mode.
    ????? , PATTERN B shift pattern is 4WD LO.

Is pattern 'type' a separate setting, not affecting the actual shift pattern (schedule).?
Or is there one more layer, and 'type' references another table where 'trailer' equals 'PATTERN A'.
There is no drop down box for 4WD LO in the 'type' settings, unless it's 'pattn 1' through 'pattn 4'...
