    New to HPTuners Couple Questions

    Hi Everyone,

I'm not a stranger to tunning, but I am completely new to the HPTuners platform. I've been tunning one of my cars (92 AWD DSM) using DSMLink for a long time, so I at least understand the basics for tuning a vehicle. I'm just finishing up my Ford Ranger 5.0 AWD manual trans swap and it's time to get the base tune going so I can get this thing started. I've been able to figure some things out like shutting off the ECUs automatic trans, disabling PATS, and converting the MAS transfer curve for a PMAS lightning MAS (at least I think I did it right). Where I am not so sure is getting the fuel settings right.

    - My main question is how do I adjust ecu settings for fuel pressure? Is this done with the flow rate multiplier vs pressure tables?

    - Second, I cannot find the injector offset vs voltage table. Where would this be?

    - During off road dyno tuning I want to temporarily log my wideband through the egr. I do not see the egr ables or an enable switch. How can I get this working?

I would really appreciate it if someone could give me some guidance.

    Thanks,
    Lou

Your most likely going to have to put your injector size in the flow rate low, and flow rate high setting and then adjust the Flow rate vs pressure where you want normally flow rate of 1 at your desired line pressure, in your case it will be between 138 and 407 since you want to run about 275 kpa. I would do that for both. Your tune file just looks like the offset setting is just omitted while in the same year mustangs have it in the general tab. I don't know anything about the EGR settings.

What I ended up doing is entering the flow rate multiplier vs pressure data table from the new injector sheet. Then I edited all cells in the inferred pressure table to 41.5PSI (what I measured at the rail).

Grounding the starter relay did the trick and it fired up first try. Now I just need to figure out the EGR situation...

I have a doubt about the east tune of 5.0 which car is original because the Rangers did not come with 5.0

I'm not sure what you mean by east tune, but I swapped the 5.0 into the Ranger from an explorer 5.0.
