    ngk 6510 suck

lt4 making 18.5 psi 1100rwhp and the 6510 plugs suck. they fail so easily if you run them hard for a long time, without any sign of damage. they run great with no load but when full throttle start misfiring. take them out and it is so difficult to tell which plug is failing. all read between 4 and 6 ohm good reading but there definitely a problem. Even did a full throttle dyno pull and shutdown engine still can really tell which one fail. even try IR image but difficult to accurately read between cylinders due to header wrap. Yes plugs are gap at 26 so not blow out spark.
Is there a substitute for 6510. would love copper plug but i don't think anyone makes one
    Thanks

You try adjusting the dwell time?

thanks for the response yes i have to no avail i do not want to get too aggressive with dwell last thing i need is failed coil. put new plugs in and it runs great. i realize also these plugs can be counter fitted. i always validate them by sending picture the ngk. my problem they just don't last. Any other plugs you know of i can try? seems limited info on replacement to 6510

Probably dont need to go too far on dwell, these coils should be great. I do not have a plug recommendation but someone on here should.

4.5 ms at the average running voltage still failed after about 30 5 gear dyno pulls dailing in 45% port injection. the fuel mixture wasn't that off to damage the plugs. Side note, I went as far i can go with fuel injector multiplier 3 so that i don't skew my air mass model that much, because 45% removal of stock ecu is a lot to ask. Going to far on multiplier 3 started to affect specific transition area of part throttle by PW fluctuating between 2700& 3000rpm. Most people would tolerate it but I needed to drive exactly like stock .2018 ctsv built separate fuel tank with ethanol one R dedicated to port only for wot. Wanted, Direct injections below 4ms to add also e85 to main tank and test spraying 100 or more by modifiing tune to accept spraying and to remain higer than180 degree eoi. Sorry long winded. Never got there due to these plugs. Goal 155+ trap speed. Really bummed out with this failure

Here's my findings if anybody else is looking
    Aftermarket iridium same heat range
    NGK LTR7IX11 6510
    DENSO ITV22 5340
    BRISK RR14YS
    FORD PERFORMANCE M-12405-20T
    AUTOLITE XP5263

I decided to go with the denso which are pre gap at 32 and have the same heat range of 6510. If you're picking any other plug from this list please do your research
    Cheers

Definitely the Brisk plugs. I'd never be using a projected tip plug at that boost and HP level to begin with.

Edit: What kind of "damage" are the plugs showing? You blowing the tips off? Damaged plugs to me says back it down some.

You're running those plugs in an LT engine?

What do you guys think of the NGK Ruthenium HX plugs?

EDIT: looks like heat range 6 is the coldest heat range I can find. Probably not cold enough for 1K WHP and near 20 pounds of boost.
