Looking for help to download the file with the VCM editor. I am using the latest stable release of the VCM editor and MPVI V3 with the BRP adapter. I can also read and clear codes with the VCM scanner. I cannot do a live scan though.

If I try to read the entire file after gathering info is successful, I can see the BRP options and a Dodge option. Both BRP options try to read then say initialization failed. When I try the Dodge option, it says turn ignition off, wait 3 seconds and then turn on. I cannot complete this sequence.

Two questions:
1) How can I download the file? Is it really the Dodge option and not BRP?
2) How can I get it to scan the live data?

At the end of the day, I use this software to tune my Volkswagen so I am incredibly grateful I can read and clear codes. It will come in handy the next time the oxygen sensors fail or something to that effect. I could not for the life of me get the damn codes to clear after replacing a part without going to the dealer before this. Thanks for any guidance!

I suggest trying the latest beta release. It can take quite a while for newer stuff to make it to the stable release.

you need to use the beta software, not the release version.

Hi,reading is imposible, might be that the sw isn't on the server.You need to read with another tool and send the bin file so they an upload to the server.

Thank you all - I was able to download my stock file with the VCM Editor beta. Interestingly, the VCM Scanner beta states the software must be updated, then crashes. Regardless, I can scan and clear DTCs with the stable release and I can't live scan with stable.
