Alternative Dash / data logging for MPVI3
Hello im wondering if anything like Tourque pro exsists for the MPVI3? I want to be able to chose what to log from a phone (or a android/raspberry dash system), but seems like the interface is totaly locked.
Ive tried the TDN app but the dataloging is useless and you cant see the log, nor can you configure what to log.
TLDR, i need to be able to make a dashboard and log using a MPVI3, what are my options?

TrackAddict... kinda sorta. It works with MPVI2 at least, and it will use whatever log list is currently stored in it, and take advantage of various faster/superior logging methods, but it saves to TrackAddict csv format, not hpl, I don't think it will open in VCM scanner, but never tried.

Yea, but sadly don't show real time iirc? i wonder why they are not leting apps like Tourque pro talk to the hardware?

Torque pro only uses ELM327 protocol devices, and yes by design only their apps will work with MPVI.
Trackaddict does show some real time info, but it's just a very simple list of params with values. You can't like configure gauges or alarms or anything like that. Very basic, sadly.
Depending on what you want to log, something ELM327 (obdlink for example) might be a better option to open it up to a bunch of other software for this.
What kind car, are you wanting to do full logs for extensive tuning purposes or simply monitor basic things on a regular basis while driving?

Thanks for the details! I just want to use the MPVI3 stand alone over bluetooth to give data in the car (L83 gen V swapped Ford ranchero). I feel like the hardware in the MPVI is great, so i don't see a reason i culd not use my exspensive hardware for what i want
For tuning i will still hook it up to my laptop so its just dashboard and logging in case of an error.
