Have another G8 doing same thing today, no matter what wont lock on its own WOT. Dual lockup clutch converter. Locks up fine with bi directional controls. Left to its own devices commands lockup at part throttle, go WOT you can see it request TCC line pressure to 0 and it unlocks and towards the top of pull at 6500 rpm you see 33 then 110psi in TCC linepressure too little too late
Both are the same trans OS ending in 170
