    L83 spark plugs

So I have a question about sparkplugs.. I changed mine in my stock L83 to the NGK IRIDIUM IX LTR5IX-11# 4344 and now i get a good bit of KR, are the plugs so bad or shuld I chase the plug wires?

If you?ve got anything done to it, they may be too hot of a plug. I run LTR7IX-11

    24-11-30 09-38-18.hpl

Also i can hear it popping and banging in the exhaust, not sure if detonation or just raw fuel in the exhaust....

You have knock retard or it’s missing? Not sure how wires could cause knock. Am I missing something?

The missing, im assuming (maybe wrongly) that the missfire shows as KR?
So the plugs are okay? Or shuld i change to colder? unsure if thats the issue..

Misfires and knock retard are totally different. When is it misfiring? Is it limited to one cylinder? How different a heat range is the new plugs than stock? Why did you not just use a recommended original application plug? Where did the plugs come from?

If this is continuous misfire, you probably don't have a wire plugged on good or damaged one while installing.

Cracked spark plug or wire not snapped on fully. One or the other or both.

Its missing at arround 2500 rpm full throttle.. The plugs was from amazon but original packaging so not knockoffs, i have to do that as taxes for importing is insane from US to DK. Im unsure about the heatrange change, LTR5IX-11 is the new ones and the stock/old ones is ACdelco 12622441 / 41-114.
I have changed to NGK as ive allways ran that in my other cars with great success.
I may order wires as well, what is the recommended ones? Preferably available on amazon.
Also sorry if its super obvius, but its my first without coil on plug...

Original packaging doesn't mean much. Just a counterfeiter with a better copier. You don't say your exact vehicle, but it looks like NGK 4344 is a direct replacement for 2018 Silverado with a 5.3L. So you either got counterfeit plugs or damaged something on install (assuming it wasn't missing before the change). Reinstall the old plugs as a test?

I would source bulk wire, connectors and boots locally and make my own wires before I would buy from Amazon, at least Amazon Marketplace. Otherwise stock AC-Delco wires recommended.

Is this a stock engine that the misfire diagnostic will still mean something to tell you which cylinder is probably missing?

thanks for the reply, what connections would be needed at the coil side? as it seems to contact on the outside and not the inside of the output "hole"...
Ive not checked the missfire count, completely forgot thanks!!!

As far as I know, you should be able to get the correct connector for the coils, but I haven't dealt with those in particular.

It would be cheaper to buy some AC Delco wires than it would the bulk material and the nice crimp pliers. I build custom wires all the time but that's for custom stuff. Anything I can buy stock plug wires for I do.

Just not sure what it takes to get stuff in "DK" (Denmark?). I was thinking that he could source it local vs Amazon. Maybe even find someone to make custom wires. But I really don't have a clue for the best way to handle this stuff in other countries. I would think spark plugs are universal enough to source locally without resorting to Amazon.

ACdelco performace red wires are very cheap and worked for years on my boosted engine. well i burn the boots in time. I had Ton's build me ceramic custom length set for 2,4,6.

    I use the following:
    NGK LTR6IX-11 tuned naturally aspirated
NGK LTR7IX-11 forced induction (up to 10psi)
Brisk RR12S forced induction (over 10psi on high hp setups)

I've seen the Amazon NGK plugs have issues for some reason vs auto part store ones.
