How to edit tunes away from truck.

I installed VCM Editor on my desktop so I could edit my tune on my nice PC which has its document folder synced with the tablet I use to run vcm editor/scanner in my truck. But it won't let me save the changes to the tune file. Is that intentional? I thought the licensing was done when you wrote to the truck. Is there some way to work around this? I would sure rather deal with a bunch of tables and what not on the large monitor and big keyboard at my desktop machine.

Have you synced your interface to the desktop as well? Once that is done/licensing is set up then yes you can edit from desktop. I too am a big-screen user for things like that.

Additionally some files require additional resources from our server so your MPVI device needs to be connected in order to gather those additional resources.

plug in the mpvi into the big computer (doesn't need to be plugged into the truck's obd port) and go to help->resync interface. Problem resolved. Thank you!
