2016 MT82 S550 Mustang GT misfiring at low RPM

    Hello guys

i just tuned a 2016 Mustang GT Manual Transmission

Mods: basic bolt ons , 18 GT intake mani , IMRC Delete , McLeod RST clutch with Aluminum Flywheel

as far as the Tune i'm pretty sure i have dialed this thing very good

    the issue is in Low RPM in 4th or 5th or 6th gear from 1800-2800 rpm at 9% of TB angle it start to misfiring ( P0300 , P0301 , P0304 , P0305 )

after i go to 3000 rpm and higher the misfire issue goes away and the car drives better

i have heard it's because that it has Aluminum flywheel because those lightweight flywheels doesn't like the Low RPM cruising is that true ?

if yes is there anywhere to Eliminate this issue from the Tune ?

Sorry I can’t let anyone to see my tune

I will try to reduce the Knock sensor sensitivity and see if this issue goes away

I have talked with over 6 guys that have aluminum flywheels in their cars and all of them is saying yes those flywheels are known for misfiring at low RPM’s but shins at high RPM’s , so they told me you have to live with it

I have done a Crank relearn and KAM reset multiple times but this doesn’t affect anything

with those mods there's nothing in that tune that anybody on here hasn't already seen yet. You can post it. IMRCs are locked out right. Are the mapped points re configured correctly?

I’m sorry guys if someone understand me Wrong

My point here is i have did a special treatment in the Tune for this car specially the Knock retard settings and VCT IVO , EVC

I’m not willing to throw it away for free

But don’t worry i have fixed the issue in the misfire monitor i have decreased the sensitivity on the Low RPM’s - Low Loads

    From 1000-2900 RPM

    And the problem right away

But i’m not willing to let it like this i will let him install Lightweight Steel Flywheel and return the Misfire monitor back to stock and try again

A couple of things may be going on. The misfires may be reporting because it needs a crank relearn (common with a clutch replacement). I have had bad luck using HPTuners to do this. I use FORScan and it seems to work every time. With the IMRC locked out, I assume that you are using MAP points 14 -26. I had to lock Fuel Economy mode to 14 and 15. I was seeing 40 deg EVC while in that mode and it was way too much overlap and was causing surging at low RPM's. I now sit at 0/0 cam timing and it completely took care of it.
