    6l80 2012 on a 2015 Silverado

Hello, how are you, please I need to know if it is possible to install a 2012 6l80 in a 2015 Silverado, installing the 2015 map in the 2012.

    Thanx in advance.

http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/ (not an endorsement, feel free to use any similar site that uses the same GM parts database, there are dozens of them)

Put in VIN from the 2012 and look up the TEHCM number.

Then put in the VIN from the 2015 and look up the TEHCM number.

    Are they the same number?

Not ALL 2012s use all the same parts for all the variants (is it a 1500? 2500? 5.3L? 6.0L? 6.2L?), and not ALL 2015s are the same.

Why not just transfer the TEHCM from the 2015 into the transmission you are installing. No need to reprogram.
Just reset the adapts. No license credits needed on HP tuning device for that.
    Make sure gasket/screen is clean.
