6Lxx truck to camaro calibration
Hello all, I have installed a set of paddle shifters from PCS on my LS swapped c1500. Currently running a 2009 tbss calibration in an e67 ecm, the tcm/trans is from an earlier escalade (6L90 & t43).
My last step in the instructions is to write an entire camaro/car calibration to the tcm.
Any guidance on how to find a file that will work would be greatly appreciated.
My current tune attached.
Thanks

Not sure how well they'll work together since the E67 TBSS was meant to operate a 17-pin 4L70E transmission. I don't experiment a lot with mixing/matching. However, some 2010 Camaro's did use a 2009 T43 TCM part number and had a specific OS to run such. This tune attached should have that unique 2010 Camaro TCM file that worked with 2009 TCM's. This could work.2010CamaroBaseTune_09TCMPartNumber_ReadSTK.hpt
You'll still likely need to setup for hardwire mode though unless you're using CANbus to operate tap shift. Make sure all the DTC's are off in the TCM that would be present in a swap. Otherwise, tap shift won't work, even with ABS or BCM set to no MIL. They'll need changed to no error reported if you're getting codes for those two systems.

awesome i appreciate your help! i do indeed have the paddles hardwired to pin 7 in the trans harness if that's what you mean?
i realize an e67 tbss os was never meant to work with a 6L let alone tutd functions...taking a chance and hoping i can figure it out lol
this is a running and driving swap already, just adding the paddles now that all the bugs are worked out. im curious how you found this file and determined it could work?
good info on setting to no error i will comb through dtc's.
just to confirm, i need to simply write the entire tcm side of the file you attached correct? i shouldn't need any special GM calibration tools?
THANK YOU!

This is something I do everyday at my job, so I have access to a bunch of files. The place I work has used Camaro tunes for years. We used to only use Vette files for tap shift until HP Tuners opened up some data in the TCM's years ago that allowed us to experiment on our shop vehicle that we use for R&D. I'm not a "tuner" by offer base files to our customers to get them the correct foundation file for their applications. Fine tuning is NOT something we offer at our facility, we specialize in standalone wiring harnesses.

very cool. appreciate your help!

You will need a TCM OS that's from the late side of the CAN comms breakpoint, your ECM is the late 127lb IFR variety. It won't talk to any TCM OS that was used with the earlier 63lb limit ECMs. Generally the breakpoint is 2009 for the early/late switch, but there is some bleedover depending on platform; 2008 anything is definitely an early and 2010 anything is definitely a late, but 2009 could be either.

righto...is the TCM side of the file posted above by relicdew compatible with my file I originally posted?
I simply do a "write entire" of the tcm with the file relicdew supplied?
never done this before, trying to get the steps crystal clear on my end.
Thank you!

If he says it's a known-working combo and the ECM in that combo is a late 127lb version then the TCM OS should work with another, different late 127lb ECM.

I can't confirm it's a known working combination, as listed above. This is because that E67 TBSS wasn't designed to run with a 6L80E. However, folks have had success doing some unique mixing/matching of files. This file was provided for the sake of getting you a tap shift compatible tune into your TCM. Only the TCM needs to be a WRITE ENTIRE on this setup via HP Tuners to test it.
The tune file you have from the 2009 does have that 127lb injector limit, which is what Blindsquirrel was referencing. This means it likely has a higher chance of working, especially since whatever mixing/matching you have going on now is functioning the way you want, sans tap shift.

Reason: Looked at his tune file for IFR tables.

thank you again relicdew the file you posted went right in no dramas.
super neat little gizmo, PCS makes badass stuff. anyone on the fence about paddles in their mechatronic trans swap. 10/10 would recommend.
even the stock camaro tutd tables are pretty good! cant wait to play with it all

Awesome, glad to hear it worked well. You never know when you're doing hybrid files how things will respond! Thanks for the feedback and reporting back your findings.
