    a. you need to apply one of the custom operating with the RTT symbol next to it as outline in the help file under "Operating systems"
    b. make sure you've selected a mode as per the help file
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

i believe i tried that and it says "not available" for sd mode and rtt. i'll try it again though but, for the most part ive read the help file completely. thanks for the help.

Not all vehicles/years have 1-BAR support, let alone RTT. I know the guys are working on trying to satisfy the masses.

what year/make/model vehicle do you have? about 99% of 99-04 LS1 based pcm's have RTT capability of some sort.

correct...most 05+ LS1 pcm's don't have the room for 2/3 bar and 1 bar custom OS's havent been completed for them and no timeframe as to when they will be completed.

Memory in most PCM's is VERY limited. This can be said for the 07 SS/SC's over the 05/06's. Most GM Computers are getting more complex and less user friendly. I'm upset that they will never most likely have RTT or Auto Tune feature available for the I4 LSJ.

May not be the same PCM P/N on the 05-07 but GM did stuff more code in the 05+ trucks than they did on the 03/04's. Not sure why, probably "Evidence of Attendance" for the GM Engineers. LOL

Ok, just to clarrify. I have an 05 chevy truck and was running 3 bar SD on it. I am now currently running a 1 bar SD. I don't ever get the little wrench with a lightening bolt icon on vcm scanner.
So what you are saying is my 05 computer can run 3bar but cannot support RTT? Or am I missing something about setting up the RTT?
    Thanks,
    Mark

Many 05+ computers havent had RTT implimented as of yet...and just like 1/2/3 bar custom OS's implimentation depends on how much excess memory there is. If there was an RTT symbol next to the custom OS you applied then RTT is available and just follow the application procedures as described in the help file, if not then it wasn't available.

so can he send a copy of his tune to chris and see if he has enough room for rtt? his truck is a base base model with 5.3 3.23:1gears and flex fuel. no traction control or any of that stuff.

sure you can send your file to support so they can see what they can do, but switching custom operating systems over to RTT is a time consuming thing even when it is possible.

It really doesn't matter how many options or lack there of your vehicle has.

Its really depandant on the OS in the PCM. Some OS's have more room than other. Why you ask? That question you should ask the GM engineers.
