Plug and play on every windows 10 pc I've used mine on. I would recommend contacting support as there is no special instructions for windows 10/11 with the MPVI3, its literally just plug & play.
You can open a support ticket here https://support.hptuners.com/
I too have the same issue. If you get a response, please share..
Had nothing but problems with WIN 10 last month with a new MVPI3. There was something with that win10 build #.
Win 11 and another instance of WIN10 worked no problem.
that seems to be the general consensus
bootleg win10/mpvi2 is the preferred combo
today
: )
You may need to download the MPVI2 drivers and resync the interface in VCM Editor or VCM Scanner. Also check your USB cable is the data transfer type and not just charging. Mine works on all my computers (win10 and win11).

Has to be something with the cloned operating systems.... I don't honestly care, mine doesn't update, downdate, windows defender who? It boots fast AF and works like your best bottom biotch ever, Soooo if this ends up being some horseshit where I have to update to windows 11 the mpvi3 can go in the garbage first... I seriously hope this isn't the case.
If we can put a man on the moon in 1969 with less computing power than the phones in our pockets, then surely to hell these units can work with a cloned operating system. Nobody likes windows 11 anyway. We literally had to be put on some exempt list at work because IT was pushing the update, only to find out the first controls engineering computer they did none of the Rockwell software would work.... My whole ass job revolves around Rockwell logic software.... Fortunately it stopped at the first one, but it was amazing that had we not stopped them they would've crippled 32 plants and then stood there like some dumbasses going "uhhhhh I dunno what does Rockwell say?" Rockwell says quit fckn with shit nerds.... Excuse the rant....
The mpvi3 doesn't use the FDTI drivers though?
Also, it's the cable that came with it.... I'd assume the smart guys at HPtuners would give you the cable you need yea? But for shits and giggles I tried about 5 different ones, all data cables. My mpvi2 works fine on the same cable and computer.... The only thing this mpvi3 will make the sexy with is my desktop.
Well to add to the mystery.... I just tried it on my work computer which isn't a clone and it doesn't work... Windows 10 pro, 22H2, OS bulid 19045.5247
So as it stands currently the only computer it works with is my desktop. It's also a windows 10 pro, unsure on the rest I'll have to look when I get home.
Mine won't work with a cable at all for logging, unless I reduce it to 2 channels (my mpvi2 would both Read and write with high speed and log all channels) and then it's sketchy if it will keep logging for more than 5 minutes since my upgrade I've had to use other software and hardware for logging, and have to do writing on my bench rig, it's glitchy to say the least.... At least with older PCMs I back and forthed with support while after I first got it to no avail after 800 in license for the same vehicle and a pile of bricked p59s (yes I tried to reset) I just gave up and went back to my old POS computer and jet dst
I'd actually let them keep my money if they would trade me back my old mpvi2... Hell I'd probably pay extra at this point
I may have missed this but reread the thread again and wonder what version of VCM Suite you're using on the MPVI3 to try to resync.
hey so iv been having the same problem and i finally just uninstalled the beta suite then downloaded the net 8 desktop runtime then installed the stable version. I opened vcm editor connected the interface via the cable supplied. it resynced first try.
