Boost tuning for 2017 Golf R

I'm having trouble raising boost over 2400Mbar and my torque seems to be pegged at 440NM. I set my torque limits to 440 ft/lbs and Max PR to 3.2. Any pointers? 7R_base_3.hpt

What's the turbo/fuel system situation on the car? Can you upload the stock file?

I managed to raise the torque limiters and adjusted the wastegate feedforward tables. I've attached the latest logs and tune.

That logging list won't work, many important things are missing and many important parameters are only updating 2-3hz-- not enough to really see what's going on. For example the boost parameter selected maxes out at 255 kPa, but the car is 100% going above that, you just can't see it.

Also, get a full 3rd or 4th gear log. 3rd gear is fine to keep speeds more reasonable for now. Start around 2k and take it all the way to redline, keep it in manual shift mode and take it to redline and shift. This will give a lot more useful information versus going thru the gears, at this stage in the tune.

    - Use attached log list and re-log, I spent time putting this together back when I used HPT for these

Thanks for the log list, I'll reshare once I'm done. Going by the car's boost gauge, it is closer to ~300kpa in 3rd gear.

    7R logs

Here's a couple of 3rd gear logs, using the recommended logging channels. FYI, the fuel is low quality 91 RON. I'll eventually run 93 RON for the base file. Not sure if I'm hitting target boost based on the logging units (InHG), perhaps you could advise.

you have to select the units you want on your own-- right click.

It looks "ok", need to pull some timing. At your elevation you might not even need MPI for E85. Going to be a challenge to get it right with HPT im afraid. First log there's a cut and torque > torque request, need to correct the TTA/ATT model most likely.

DI fuel pressure is way above commanded, need to get that under control, and the DI fuel pressure tables are not defined right in the software

Need SWG or "WG axis patch" to properly tune boost without being able to log the WG feedforward table axis values. It's under boosting a bit, but we really have no idea how close or far off the tables are and how much relying on the PID corrections.

WG already 70-75+ not too much more to gain at that elevation on your turbo without spinning it like crazy.

Do you want to run E85 all the time, what sort of mix? Trying to determine if MPI is really need or not.

    MPI logs

I created an MPI tune based off of the file you shared on a previous forum and the fueling seems to alternate between direct injection and port injection, rather than running both simultaneously. I've attached some logs with my MPI file.

It's likely there's other values that need set to get this working (that are not defined in HPT). It looks like its cycling between cmb mode 0 (DI 1 pulse) and cmb mode 8 (MPI 1 pulse). You'll want cmb mode 9 (DI 1 pulse + MPI 1 pulse). This is always going to be an uphill battle with what's currently available here. I would highly recommend going another route, feel free to email me.
