Fuel trims are off pretty bad at idle. Kinda need to know what you have to be able to tell you what you need to do.

By the manifold vacuum it looks like you have a little bit of cam in it. And by how split the idle fuel trims are I'd bet it has a crappy sheetmetal intake on it.

it helps to post a picture of the engine compartment so we can see what you are working with.
    a 51 mercedes means nothing

even though you dont know what it is internally, things like compression psi, if it sounds like it has a lope, or super smooth stock idle, what part number for injectors/map, what type of fuel system, exhuast, etc.

All these things help us help you. Just looking at a log tells a bit of info, but more from you helps

You gotta rotate them in your editor before posting them. Love the car. Hate the LS motor in it. Needs a flathead.

This here is what ya need. This is one of the coolest cars I've ever been involved with. Three deuces, 6 pack, tri-power, whatever you wanna call it, this is one of the coolest looking old school hotrod setups. This one was converted to EFI. Each carb is machined to house injectors and it was originally run with a 20+ year old Accel DFI. We converted it to Holley.

Flatheads are just cool. They don't make any power but who cares?

i own a few mercs. im not a fan of the flathead, i like to be able to drive my cars daily without having to constantly open my hood, i have one with a 500 caddy that never gives me any problems.
but as you can tell i am new to this Ls thing and here trying to learn something new.

Always a critic in the crowd LOL. But you're right. Would have been a better look if it was hidden.

Yeah, I understand the dependability factor. That one I posted though, that old couple drove that thing everywhere.

500 inch Caddy motor sounds pretty cool. Anything but an LS LOL

Right there with you! I had a 1939 Chevy that was rat rodded about 15 years ago. It had a newer full pressure 235 and the 3 on the tree. It was a cool car but the I6 was boring. It ended up developing a rod knock. I ended up stumbling across a 346 Cadillac with a Hydramatic 4spd behind it for a steal. Both had been remanufactured in 1944 for the military but had been sitting in a massive crate un-used for years. It was stuck from the rings having sat as long as they had. ATF and Acetone to the rescue. Soaked it down for about a month and was able to get it broken free. The engine came with a new dual 2bbl manifold and a pair of restored 2bbls. I ended up having to pull the heads on it to get the valves free'd up. Head gaskets ended up being hard to find at the time. I redid the rope seal on the rear main. Installed the dual 2bbl. Got it fired up and tested the transmission and it worked great. Ended up converting that Chevy to an open driveline with the 346/Hydramatic swap. Kept it for a couple of years and then someone offered me a lot more than I had in it and I sold. Still regret it but cannot keep them all. I made several 1,000 mike road trips in that car and had fitted it with Old Air AC using a Sanden compressor that did not draw much power off it. The only thing I ever had to do with that 346 was check the oil and add a quart every tank of gas or two. When I did the open driveline conversion I used a 2.53 gear and it worked really well with the 4 spd Hydramatic. They do not have overdrive but the powerflow through them creates a direct drive through the fluid coupling in like 3rd and 4th gear similar to a lockup converter and the 1st gear is a deep ratio which works well with a highway gear. 346 makes a lot of grunt but does not like to rev.

The flathead Cadillacs have a distinct sound an I love it. Similarly the Buick Fireball I8 has a great sound too.
