2019 Camaro SS 1LE big change Start up help

So I?m going to try to keep the long story short. Lol. I had a 580hp ish build. Big cam, full bolt on, E85, Well one day a few years ago she floated a lifter, the lifter cracked the bore?. Dead engine. So I recently found a low mileage unopen LT1 out of a 2018 Camaro. But I want to do a different cam than last time. How can I tell if cam specs are close enough my current tune would be safe enough to be a start up tune. Or is there a better start up file to go with. Lingenfelter GT 32 is the old cam?.. TSP is the one I want to put in the new engine

Other mods. RotoFab Big gulp, flex fuel, ported LT2 manifold, LT5 Throttle body, 1-7/8 long tubes, 3in all the way to stock NPP. And lives most of its life with the exhaust open (Don?t judge me lol).

Any help is appreciated I?m a tech so I know I can learn easily. Just never took the time to find a patient enough teacher. I can load the current file. Engine assy is still in progress

It should be close enough to start and drive as long as you are keeping the rest of the mods the same. Don't go WOT until its properly tuned though.

So the only other mod possibly? was an accident. My donor LT1 appears to have a LT4 pump attached to it. Very strange. No other mods. Still had oem air filter lol. But I?m trying to check part numbers to confirm which fuel rails and injectors is running. But the pump is bigger than my 2019 ss stocker

Yeah you need to confirm the pump. It will run with an LT1 pump tune and an LT4 pump in the engine, but you don't want to leave it like that. If you don't need the fuel overhead, just swap your pump back in. There are some fuel pump harness differences between the LT1 and LT4 pump and you need a specific conversion harness. I can't remember the exact years that this is required. I want to say 2021+ models but I forget. I'm sure its posted somewhere.

The pump itself is a different connector. The rails seem the same. I?ve heard in some cases an LT1 pump fails under warranty and due to part availability would just throw a LT4 pump in with a repinned connector. That?s about the only logical way I can fathom a unmodified motor randomly having a LT4 pump lol

If the rails are still in the block you bought and it indeed has an LT4 pump, then it probably has LT4 injectors too. And I would assume it was boosted by the previous owner if they put LT4 stuff in it.

I was thinking along the same lines it?s just strange. Every nut and bolt from the plastic engine covers down to the oil pan looks unmolested. Even came with the belt still on and all accessories attached. It was a hacksaw motor/trans pull

The LT1 pump changed at some point, maybe its the updated plug version and its all LT1 stuff.

The engine is at my shop I?ll run part numbers tomorrow. Either way as far as start up tune If I can post full mod list and currently loaded tune file. Can someone smarter that myself let me know if it?s safe enough for a start up tune on pump gas.
