    Question Internet quality

Currently in the process of mechanically deleting the AFM system on my 16 silverado 5.3 l83 due to lifter failure. My issue is that there is no internet in my garage and the DSL in the house isn't great. Cell service in my area is poor also. My question is, is internet required when reading and writing the tune to the vehicle? I am only deleting the AFM , no other mods. Thanks for the info.

Nope. You just need the credits before hand to tune it.

Connect to the truck, click gather information to display what controllers to read. Click the PCM and TCM, do no read the FSCM if it has one. Do the read entire, save it, edit the file and apply your credits.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
