    8192rpm is the absolute limit?

so in my constant battle of deciding to go n.a or boost, I've noticed that HPT fuel cutoff for the L61 ecotec has 8192rpm as the max

why is this? spark ramp out max rpm is 65,535rpm

if I do end up staying all motor, I'm going to need around 10,000rpm just to be sure i'll be able to make decent power and utilizing the high revs required of a 4 cylinder n/a car

is it some kind of ecu limitaion, or can HPT be updated to raise it higher?

its the pcm hardcoded limit...GM decides how much room in the pcm they'll need for each parameter for each calibration...to move these limits up is not an easy task so yes thats pretty much what your limited to.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

alright i was just wondering. as long as the ecu will continue to drive the spark as high as I want to go, I can get the fueling done another way

thanks foff now I can spend my time looking for a solution
