Problems reading 2 bar map in scanner

    Car is 03 Z06 w/ sc

I changed to the 2 bar os and replaced the map sensor.

Problem is when scanning, kpa never goes over 105.

How do I set this up?

2 bar map sensor is gm p/n 12580698 which I read on this site was a 2 bar sensor.

Also, I have a histogram for afr error, ut as soon as I ty to log, it goes away to a screen saying that I can't use it..blah, blah, blah

    Any help is appreciated

follow the instructions for the 2/3 bar application in the help file http://www.hptuners.com/help/vcm_edi...ters_gm_os.htm you've missed a few steps
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    Having the same problem.
I have done this many times. The main table records shows the proper values but the histogram is jacked up.

(This step for 2bar and 3bar enhancement only) Open VCM Scanner and connect to the vehicle. Open the Table display (Scan -> Table Display). Right-click the "Manifold Air Pressure (SAE)" PID and select "Delete". This removes the existing 1 bar PID from the table, if you don't do this the histogram will not function correctly.
(This step for 2bar and 3bar enhancement only) Right-click again on the table display cell and select "Insert", go to the Engine -> Airflow section and choose either the "Manifold Air Pressure - 2 bar" or "Manifold Air Pressure - 3 bar" PID, double-click to insert it into the table.
(This step for 2bar and 3bar enhancement only) Save the new scanner configuration using File -> Save Config.

    Thanks

I deleted it and added the 2 bar. It shows right in the table but not the histogram. Idle 36kpa and in the 20 cell on the histogram.

I just opened this file and the Histogram Tab 6 (VE - AFR Error %) displays correctly... shows idle right at 800rpm and 40 MAP... But when the Rob plays the log back Tab 6 only records/shows in the 800rpm/15MAP cell...????

That just means he incorrectly setup a custom PID. Quick fix would be to delete the scanner.cfg file and reopen the file

I renamed the vcm scanner.cfg file and reopened the file and it is the same. I also tried deleting the config file that I was using and no joy.

    Do I need to reinstall???

I didn't ask you to rename the vcm scanner.cfg file. I asked you to delete it. Please do so and then tell me it didn't work

I renamed it to vcm scanner.old. It created a new one. But just to make sure I deleted both and it still shows the same thing.

You never deleted the vcm scanner.cfg file. I can still see several custom pid's in there which is what is screwing up your readings. You need to delete the file from your harddrive.

I swear I did it twice and it was recreated when I opened up the scanner.

All is well now. I uninstalled, renamed the HP Tuners directory to HP OLD and then reinstalled. The file plays back correctly now. I assume all will be well when I hook back up to the car this evening.

I'm having a similiar problem, when I try to insert the 2-bar map, the Airflow section doesn't show either the "Manifold Air Pressure - 2 bar" or "Manifold Air Pressure - 3 bar" PID.
