    do i need a Wide Band O2 sensor to tune my SS

    this might sound stupid but am new to this, do i need to get the Wide Band O2 sensor, or i'll be just fine with just the hp tuner?

    What exactly does wideband let you do or access? I am new just trying to learn.

    A wideband allows you to have a acurate reading of your Air Fuel Ratio, the stock narrowband 02 sensors read a 0-1v signal where as a wideband reads 0-5v so it has much better resolution and is far more acurate. Any narrowband sensor is not acurate enough to determine your WO throttle fueling. A tuning must IMO...

    A stock, narrow band, O2 will read accurately from 14.5-14.9:1 afr. A wideband will read 10:1-18:1. Not sure if those are accurate numbers, but it's something like that. It gives you a much more accurate assessment of what's going on, so you know what to do to get it right.
