I was recently assigned to a job in Toledo,OH and the rental I recieved is badged "TAURUS". 2008 model. It looks more like a cross between a smushed down exlporer and an older aerostar all in one. Upon receipt of the vehicle I popped the hood and found a tranverse mounted v6, 3.5 liter I think. Does the latest beta support this vehicle. I have not tried to scan or read it. If anyone thinks it will be supported or useful I will try. Not gonna waste my time for a failed read... let me know.

Seriously, I think Ford renamed the "500" to Taurus for 2008 - something about name recognition.

Yes, the "Taurus" is a 500 with a new front fascia, grille, fenders, and hood. It also has the new 3.5L V6 which was sorely missed in the 500.
I didn't work on it but I did a few parts on the '05 and I am working currently on its eventual replacement.
