Just got back with my 10 yr old daughter. We have a special place at the base of the hill where the fireworks are launched. They litterally go off over our heads and the smell of the gunpowder is great.

Happy belated 4th. I hope everyone enjoyed their day. The Mrs. and I watched the fireworks on TV (and outside) as our little one retired to bed at 8pm. Little guy slept through all the outside commotion, didn't wake up until 3am.Next year I am going to look for a good local mountain to watch the celebrations around So-Cal.
Ive probably had the best 4th ever! I went over to my girlfriends house and her dad bought approx $180 worth of fireworks...and you know how that goes...everyone has a buy-one-get-one-free thing...so we walked out of there with a nice variety. Great stuff I tell ya. No injuries, but one close call when a tube of mortars laid over in the middle of going off. eek!
I hope everyone had a safe one. Btw, my HPT will be 1 yr old tomorrow! :-)
