I am most familar with ls1 cars and have used hptuners to turn off vats several times in a swap situation. I have a 97 cavalier 2.0l and was wondering if anyone has had luck in turning off the factory security? The car will start and run for 1-2 seconds then die and flash the theft light. I purchased the car and dont have the origional key or lock cylinder. Thanks
send me the file to support with a link to this thread. I think some of the early 4 cyl calibrations have two sets of vats code one of which isn't in .18. I'll take a look at the file and have the second set of vats disabled for you if need be.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
