    07-09 gt500 map calculations

Hello, I am new to these forums so bear with me here.

I have a 07 gt500 that has a TVS swap that's not quite running right. I had a tuner come look at it to find out that my calculated map is way too high. The car was reading ~180 kpa at idle and at WOT it was reading above ~500 kpa which I know for a fact the car isnt making 80 lbs of boost. All this is causing my fuel trims to be way off and the car runs way too rich. I'm not sure how calculated MAP works so I'm not entirely sure how this all works. I'm new to the platform so I'm not sure where to go from here. Are there any solutions to this?

Who did the TVS install? I would bet the EGR is deleted and you didn't put the SIP sensor back in the car.

I'm not sure how an EGR delete is done on these cars, but it seems that the EGR system is still on the car still. However, (forgive me for my lack of knowledge) how do I check?

Post a couple pictures of the engine here, from both sides.

EGR should be passenger side of the blower. It's common to delete them when doing an aftermarket blower swap.

Yep. Would have bet that was the cause. Next step is post a tune and data log. If the Baro/map is off that bad it should set a code. If it doesn't have any codes it may be turned off.

I can confirm that there was a code popping up but no CEL. It was a p1227 code for a waste gate failure pressure too high. I unfortunately didn't save any of the data logs with my tuner so those are lost unfortunately. All I know is that the car was reading too high of boost and was changing the fuel trim to be 30% richer at its highest. My question is what's wrong with the EGR? Do I need to replace it?

Nothing is wrong with the EGR. It has a SIP sensor on top of it that needs to go back on when you do an EGR delete. Usually when people put bigger blowers on these cars, they delete the EGR and if they're inexperienced they end up leave the SIP off as well and that causes all kinds of problems. Yours is there.

Yeah the SIP is on and plugged in and all, could it be that its a bad sensor?

Anything would be a guess right now. Post a data log and tune so we don't have to guess.
