adding 2 bar to 98 pcm?

I read something about when you add a 2 bar os that the pcm has to have the stock read in it.Is this true? and what if thats on some unknown pc 200 miles away? will it let me load the os? what are my options?
Sorry, this has probably been asked a hundred times but I did a search with no
    luck.Thanks

Read the file off of the pcm
Apply the 2 bar custom operating system
    customize said 2 bar file
    write entire to pcm
    tune
write calibration only's from here on out.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Wow! Response time:3 minutes! Thanks Bill. I guess I just misunderstood what I had read about having to have the stock tune as the starting point
to add the os. Thanks for clearing it up for me.I just didn't want to create
    any problems. BTW awesome product.

Not a problem, as long as its the stock operating system in the vehicle currently all should be well. That stock tune quote comes from the fact that many handhelds can cause read/write issues.
