05 C6 tuner lock

I would like to lock a 2005 C6 that i have been working on but when i go to do this the lock functions are "greyed" out. The status says unable to lock. I have never seen this before and i don't know if it is due to coming from another tuner shop or something. I had no problems reading the PCM or flashing it so this is puzzeling. If Anyone has experienced this let me know what it might be. With the way my luck has been lately it is probably something completely stupid i am missing.

Tunerlocking is not yet available on the E38/E40/E67 line of pcm's, we are working on making it available but no timeframe of completion is available yet.

Would really love to see the tunerlock feature added for the E40 controllers...

Other tuner packages can do it but why can't we do it it for E67 and E40???
