    Code help

    I keep getting these codes

    U1000 class 2 comunication malfunction(history)
    B1001 Option configuration Error(History)(Immature)
    C0240 Unkown(History)
U1016 Loss of class 2 Communication with VCM(history)(immature)
U1040 Loss of Class 2 Communication with ABS(history)(immature)
    p0121 TPS sensors insuffient activity

I have changed the TPS sensor with one from Advance auto parts. I have even tried another AC delco sensor. What is my problem? Do I have a bad computer?
I can only clear the p0121 code with Hp tuners the others just stay there? I keep getting tps code after a few miles of driving about 5 miles. I have checked the wires as best I can from the sensor to the VCM they seem to be fine.

Can you log TPS (all forms of it), MAP, RPM, and coolant temp and post it up here? And post your tune.

The U codes are normal when you program the PCM. They will eventually go away on their own.

Not sure what the B & C codes are though.

Just to let you know I have done H/C, LT headers,ORY,Hooker catback,3800 stall converter. I will get that up tonight. Thanks.

I think I am going to try and ohm out the tps wires and make sure that is not what is going on. One thing I have done is that I adjusted the throttle body set screw to get my IAC counts to around 60. I had a high idle voltage so I notched my TPS to get my idle voltage below .6 at idle. Could that be my problem. IF so I guess drilling my throttle body is in my near future.

Could be the problem. The idle stop is there to make sure the TB blade doesn't stick. It's not for adjusting idle airflow.

Ok I returned the tps to the original postion. I drilled the throttle body and it is still setting the code. Here are some log files and my tune. I have done all I know to do what else could there be.
The 9-5-07.hpl is the one where I drove down the road. The 9507tpsdtc is the one where I discovered the dtc.

Ok let me explain why after you read this

    http://www.ls2.com/boggs/dtcs/DTC%20P0121.htm

Basically right now you IDLE at 65kpa roughly...the pcm has a rationality test ie p0121 which says your map should be in xx zone at idle, if your tps shows 0 & your idling at 65-70kpa map the pcm thinks that you SHOULD be moving at that point but in reality its just your cam. The fix is the adjust your map rationality test under engine diag-general.

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

How exactly did you "adjust" it?

I moved the max up to 78 Kpa.

I also have alot of knock while driving under different loads could that be becuase of the code?

knock has nothing to do with the tps code.

After I moved the max setting up I drove the car around for about 20 minutes and let it idle for about 10 minutes. The code did not come back. When I get home tommorrow I am going for a ride to do some more tuning.

Not a problem, Its actually a pretty common code so I'll probably put a sticky together in the next day or so.
