okay, i pretty much did the ecm pin swap from my 98 camaro ss to a 99-02 ecm pin assignment. The ecm i have came from a 02 gmc sierra 2500. my question is regarding the transfer of vin and or do i have to take the car to gm to flash software for a 99-02 camaro stock program to begin messing around with it prior to tuning it with hptuners. Thanks to all.
you'd be best off to have gm flash it to a stock 99-02 program before you begin messing around with it.

You'll need to have a valid vin for the operating system in the pcm. So if you have an 02 operating system in the pcm you'll need a valid vin for that os.
